SONIC innovations designs, develops, manufactures and markets advanced, digital hearing aids that are intended to provide the highest levels of satisfaction for hearing impaired customers. Capitalizing on our advanced understanding of human hearing, we developed patented digital signal processing ("DSP") technologies and embedded them in the smallest single-chip DSP platform to be installed in a hearing aid.
For decades, hearing aid technology was limited to basic analog amplification. In other words, “your grandfather’s hearing aids.” In the late 1990s, all of this changed when the new digital age was ushered in. Three world renowned scientists took on the project of creating cutting-edge mathematical algorithms and tiny, digital micro processors with the sole purpose of enabling the hearing impaired to hear sound like no other aid could provide. Their scientific breakthroughs led to the founding of SONIC innovations.
